There’s a reason ESPN Magazine named us the “Ultimate Sports City.”  Fans always have something to cheer about in St. Louis.

Major League Baseball

The 11-time World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals are perennial contenders as the most dedicated baseball fans in the country descend on Busch Stadium clad in red. The stadium offers the very best of baseball tradition with a great view from every seat, authentic ballpark dining and a wide variety of off-field activities for pre and post game entertainment. New for the 2014 season was the Ballpark Village entertainment district. Featuring dining, nightlife, entertainment and the Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum the district is located adjacent to Busch Stadium.

National Hockey League

The 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues take to the ice at the Enterprise Center to do battle in the NHL’s Western Conference. Lead by captain Alex Pietrangelo and stars Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O’Reilly there are sure to be many exciting years to come! Head to Enterprise Center to watch your favorite players take the ice.

Major League Soccer

St. Louis has been awarded a MLS expansion franchise.  St. Louis City SC is scheduled to begin play in 2023.  A new stadium is being built in the heart of downtown near St. Louis Union Station.

Other Professional Sports

Other professional teams in St. Louis include the Gateway Grizzlies and the River City Rascals (Frontier League Baseball), Illinois Piasa (Professional Arena Soccer League), St. Louis Ambush (Major Arena Soccer League), St. Louis Slam (Women’s Football Alliance), St. Louis Surge (Global Women’s Basketball Association (GWBA)) and Saint Louis FC (United Soccer League).

College Sports

In addition to sports in the pro ranks, college teams are also a big hit in St. Louis. The Saint Louis University Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 conference in a variety of men’s and women’s sports. The Men’s basketball team has become a regular in the NCAA Tournament. College basketball is at the top of the sports menu every March as well. The State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament comes to town at the Enterprise Center and the winner earns an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.

Spring sporting events include the Go St. Louis Family Fitness Weekend, held in April. Runners of all abilities participate in a half-marathon, marathon relay, 5K run/walk, children’s fun runs and a health and fitness expo.
