Art Saint Louis is pleased to announce our Fall 2024 exhibition, “Memento Mori,” on view September 14-October 17, 2024 at our newly relocated Art Saint Louis Gallery at 2801 Locust Street in Midtown Alley, St. Louis, MO. We will host a free public reception on Saturday, September 14 from 5-7 p.m. where guests will have the opportunity to check out our new space, view the exhibition, meet the featured artists and exhibit Jurors, and enjoy complimentary beverages.

For “Memento Mori,” a juried exhibit, we invited regional artists to submit original visual artworks that honor and remember loved ones who have passed as well as pieces that examine death, consider mortality, address the fragility of human life, and celebrate lives lived. Memento Mori is a Latin phrase meaning “remember you must die” or “remember death”.

Serving as Jurors for “Memento Mori” were Manda Remmen, artist, Preparator, Denver Art Museum, Denver, CO, and studio artist Travis Lawrence, St. Louis, MO. From 286 artworks submitted by 116 regional artists, Jurors Manda Remmen and Travis Lawrence selected works by 74 artists for this show. Featured will be works in ceramics, collage, digital art, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles, video, woodworking, and more. To learn more about the show, please visit our website: www.artstlouis.org

Open: M-F 8-4, Sat. 9-3. Closed Sundays & holidays. Hours subject to change
