Don’t let the name fool you – there’s nothing small about this 45-minute adventure through the heart of Downtown St. Louis!
Big Muddy Adventures will meet you on the levee and shuttle you less than a mile to the put-in on Laclede’s Landing. You’ll push off near the historic Eads Bridge, the oldest bridge on the Mississippi River, and begin with a short paddle upstream (just like Lewis & Clark!), learning about notable landmarks and catching unparalleled views of St. Louis’ oldest riverfront buildings.
Then, with the help of your guide, you’ll turn the canoe downstream, paddle under the Eads Bridge and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gateway Arch. The trip will end just south of the Arch, where you’ll enjoy snacks and refreshments on the historic cobblestone levee!
