No matter your age, interests or budget, you’ll find something fun to do in St. Louis this weekend.
This dance performance features a series of duets performed throughout the galleries responding directly to Scott Burton: Shape Shift. The dancers engage with Burton’s “furniture sculptures” and activate two newly commissioned sculptures by Fernandes that softly contrast with the hard materials of Burton’s work. This performance draws on gestures and signaling within gay cruising culture as part of an ongoing exploration of queer camouflage, visibility, and embodiment.
The performances last around one hour; visitors are welcome to drop in anytime and stay for as long as they’d like. Seating is limited.
