I recently visited Cahokia Mounds with my family in April and it was really neat! Once we got to the top of the stairs we had a great view of St Louis and the surrounding area.

Great, overlooked historical site. Visitors center is closed for repairs starting March 2022 (and there were no restrooms available). We saw this before our visit and watched a documentary online...
