Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis (New Cathedral)
This Roman Catholic Church, a major landmark in the city of St. Louis, is open to visitors daily. Masses are at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and 12:05 p.m., Mon.-Fri.; 8 a.m, 10 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. on Sun. Byzantine-style interior with one of the world's largest collection of mosaic art: 83,000 sq. ft. Tours Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

As a literal layman in cathedral building/painting/art, this cathedral won its peculiarity due to the amazing art inside on its arch and ceiling. Group tour is available although we didn't take it.Full Review
Living in Europe and having seen all the major Cathedrals on the old continent it's pretty hard to impress me with one. I like travelling to US, and been all over it for many times, but Cathedrals...Full Review
