Katherine Ward Burg Garden is a public plaza at 612 N. 1st St. in St. Louis, offering sweeping views of the Mississippi River and Eads Bridge. Operated and maintained by Great Rivers Greenway, the garden features a trellised structure, sloping paths and a seating wall that can be used for special events and programming. Native plants throughout the garden capture rainwater and support pollinators. A drinking fountain with a water bottle refill station is available from April through November, and electric service is available on-site. The garden does not have restrooms. Katherine Ward Burg Garden is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed. The garden remains open to the public year-round and can also be booked for special events through Great Rivers Greenway’s Special Use Permit process.
