Soulard Farmers Market St. Louis’ oldest farmers market, founded in 1838, spans over two blocks of the Soulard neighborhood just south of downtown St. Louis and features fresh produce and products from more than 80 vendors. Beyond the fruits and vegetables you’d expect, you can find everything from purses, flowers and t-shirts to area rugs, pet supplies, Cardinals gear and so much more! Where: 730 Carroll Street St. Louis, MO 63104 When: Soulard Market is open year round from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays, and 7:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturdays. Tower Grove Farmers Market Tower Grove Park’s urban forest sets this farmers market apart from others. Kicking off its 10th season, it is going big with more than 50 vendors of local produce, delicious ready-to-eat food, artisan coffee and tea, flowers grown right in the city, and live music to keep you entertained while you shop and eat. Where: 4256 Magnolia Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110 When: Saturdays 8:00 am – 12:30 pm, Mid-April through November Ferguson Farmers Market “Come for the farmers, stay for the fun!” That’s the slogan at Ferguson Farmers Market. And they mean it. This delicious thirteenth season, you’ll find super fresh fruits and vegetables (picked within 24 hours), homemade jelly, farm fresh eggs, organic meats, handmade gifts, chef demos, children’s events and live music all within a festive family atmosphere. Like the local vendors say, “If it’s homemade, handmade or fresh and tasty, you can buy it at the Ferguson Farmer’s Market!” Where: 20 S. Florissant Rd., Ferguson, MO 63135 When: Saturdays 8:00 am – Noon, May through October North City Farmers Market The mission of the North City Farmers Market is “to grow community health by offering affordable fresh produce, free health screenings, and healthy cooking demonstrations while encouraging community participation and being a stabilizing force in the neighborhood.” Around 20 vendors come out every Saturday to offer fresh produce, baked goods, local artwork, and live music to keep you entertained while you shop. Where: 2700 N. 14th Street, St. Louis, MO 63106 (Across from Crown Candy) When: Saturdays from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, June through October Kirkwood Farmers Market The Kirkwood Farmers Market exudes the hometown charm that the area is known for. You’ll find local and broker-supplied produce along with meats and cheeses, plants and flowers, jams and ready-to-eat tasty treats. The warm weather market is open early April through September, and every fall the market hosts a pumpkin patch, along with the Harvest Market, which is a smaller version of the summer market selection. And every day during the winter you can enjoy the annual Christmas market. Where: 150 E.
