After a $380 million project transformed Gateway Arch National Park, the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, in collaboration with Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the St. Louis Development Corporation, announced a $670 million plan to redevelop the adjacent Millennium Hotel. The project will include new apartments, retail and restaurant space, riverfront plazas and an amphitheater.
In 2026, the St. Louis Zoo will debut Destination Discovery, a new immersive experience for the young – and the young at heart – with animal adventures at every turn. Expect alpacas, babydoll sheep, Chilean flamingos, coati, java finches, North American river otters and Tasmanian devils, along with spontaneous zookeeper chats, in the 2.8-acre area.
