Grand Center Arts District

Grand Center Arts District is St. Louis’ epicenter for the arts. Here, world-class talent performs, and aspiring artists hone their craft. Eclectic venues line the streets offering everything from Broadway to Black Box Theater, Bebop to Beethoven, street art to galleries and sushi to soul food. Engaging media, inviting parks, inspiring museums and welcoming hotels surround visitors of all ages. An ever-evolving cultural crossroads, Grand Center Arts District offers more to see, to hear, to taste, to learn, to experience – often in the most unexpected ways and places. The district is alive with possibility whether you’re a familiar local or a first-time visitor.

A wide variety of experiences await theater lovers. Revel in time-tested Broadway favorites on our grandest stages like the Fox Theatre and the Grandel or let innovative pieces in more intimate settings like the .Zack and the Kranzberg Arts Center draw you in. Count on New Line Theatre for socially relevant works, Upstream for international dramas and the Sun Theater for inspiring student performances. Or visit us Grand Center Theatre Crawl and be entertained at a multitude of theaters.

From Romanesque to avant-garde, our 17 galleries and museums give you a glimpse into the paintings, photographs, relics and more that get noticed, get honored and get people talking. While the Contemporary Art Museum and the Pulitzer Arts Foundation are the district’s best-known museums, the International Photography Hall of Fame, Bullivant gallery, the Pearl Gallery, and the historic Samuel Cupples House are must-sees, too. Love motorcycles? Take a journey back in time at the Moto Museum. Still can’t decide? Then visit us during First Friday to see all your favorite galleries in one evening.
