Guest Comfort and Safety
Guest comfort and safety is the top priority for the team at America’s Center Convention Complex. In a collaborative approach that sets St. Louis apart from other destinations, we work with event organizers to create proactive service plans, coordinating directly with the Downtown St. Louis Community Improvement District as well as the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to best prepare for upcoming meetings, conventions and other events in and around America’s Center and The Dome.

Our Meet St. Louis team, helmed by Jennifer Poindexter, works directly with organizers and our America’s Center Public Safety team to ensure each group’s unique needs are met. Once we know the attendee experience that you wish to create, we have the resources in place to keep your delegates engaged, happy and safe.

In St. Louis, we pride ourselves on being aware and informed of what’s happening in our region so that we can put proper plans in place for upcoming events, making our community safe and welcoming for everyone. As a result, your attendees will experience:

- A highly visible security presence, including patrols between America’s Center and downtown hotels, restaurants and attractions.

- Guides and visitor information specialists strategically stationed to answer questions.

- Bright yellow vests worn by hotel safety personnel to assist guests walking after hours between America’s Center and downtown hotels.

- Escorts available by request as well as STL Downtown Link electric vans that offer extended hours to serve our convention guests.
At the beginning of 2024, St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones and SLMPD Chief of Police Robert Tracy released crime data that revealed major improvements to public safety in 2023 compared to 2022, pointing to the success that our region has had by being proactive and engaged in promoting safety throughout the St. Louis region, but downtown particularly. This data reflects the resurgence of the St. Louis metro area.
