Built as the Fine Arts Palace of the 1904 Worlds Fair and one of the nation's leading comprehensive art museums. Collections include works of art from virtually every culture and time period. Areas of notable depth include Oceanic art, pre-Columbian art, ancient Chinese bronzes and European and American art of the late 19th century and 20th century, with particular strength in German painting. Free admission to exhibitions on Fridays and programs diesgned for all ages and interests. Tue. - Sun., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Fri., 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; FREE.

Great compilation of works from many time periods and geographic locations. My teen sons particularly enjoyed the mummy room which included x-rays of the 3 mummies. We browsed the entire museum but...

I enjoyed the museum,not the employees. The art was nice and the grounds were beautiful . The good thing is it is free but closes early.

You can't go wrong going here. The best part is it's free. The view out front is amazing. Our favorite place in the city is sitting on art hill in front of the museum
