After a successful kickoff at .ZACK Theatre, Civic Pride announces additional free events at St. Louis favorites

ST. LOUIS: Six times each year, the St. Louis Civic Pride Foundation hosts the Explorer Series, a curated set of free events that showcase and amplify some of the extraordinary assets that can be enjoyed in the St. Louis community. Dedicated to creating a culture of confidence and pride among St. Louis residents, the Civic Pride Foundation’s events offer entertaining and often behind-the-scenes looks at some of the region’s top attractions and organizations.

This year, the Explorer Series had a successful kick-off at the .ZACK Theatre, which showcased Chris Hansen, executive director of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, who outlined the organization’s efforts and its vision for Grand Center. The event also featured a presentation by local artist and recent Spark Grant recipient, Cbabi Bayoc, who, as one of the muralists contributing to Walls Off Washington, talked about the power of public art.

The next Explorer Series event will take place on Thu., April 25 at The Muny with a behind-the-scenes look at its recent renovation as they prepare for their 106th season, which will feature seven shows. Also on tap is an event at Magic Mini Golf on Thu., June 27. Featuring none other than St. Louis’ own Joe Edwards, attendees will enjoy a round of mini golf and take a ride on the must-see ferris wheel, all while learning why Delmar Boulevard was named one of the 10 Great Streets in the United States.
