Art Hill Film Series – Top Gun | Friday, July 8
Come enjoy the outdoors, fantastic food, great live music, and some of your favorite movies at Saint Louis Art Museum’s Outdoor Film Series showing the film, “Top Gun.” The food trucks and music start at 6:00 pm. Films begin promptly at 9:00 pm. You are welcome to arrive any time to claim your spot on Art Hill.
Slide the City | Saturday, July 9
Making a triumphant return to St. Louis on Saturday is Slide the City, where you can cool off on a hot summer day while gliding along a 1,000-foot inflated slip and slide. This year the slide will start along Oakland and Tamm Avenues, with live music, entertainment, local vendors and much, much more.
Let Them Eat Art | Friday, July 8
Historic Maplewood is the place to be on Friday, as the annual Let Them Eat Art festival returns for an artful tribute to Saratoga Lanes’ Centennial. It all kicks off with a parade at 6 p.m. on Sutton Blvd. from Railroad Street to Marietta, followed by live entertainment, bowling pin art, as well as food and drink specials by some of Maplewood’s award-winning purveyors.
Fried Chicken Festival | Sunday, July 10
Southern is celebrating its first year of business & National Fried Chicken Day with one awesome event. Join 4 Hands along with some other well-loved St. Louis establishments including 4 Hands, Byrd and Barrel, The Libertine and many more for a celebration of beer and fried chicken. 4 Hands is even crafting a special new beer to pair perfectly with fried chicken on a hot summer day. This family-friendly event will feature face painting, T-shirt printing by Art Farm and sweet treats from Strange Donuts.
The Music Man | now until July 11
Anytime Professor Harold Hill comes to town, there’s always a mix of trouble but with a whole lot of fun for your entire family to enjoy. You will definitely not want to miss The Music Man live and on stage at The Muny in Forest Park (now until July 11). From ‘Seventy-six Trombones’ to ‘Ya Got Trouble,’ this show is packed with classic songs and moments that are sure to bring down the house!
